Description

The Eastern Kentucky Veterans Center (EKVC) is a 120-bed long-term care facility providing skilled nursing and rehabilitative care exclusively to Kentucky’s Veterans. Proudly operated by the Kentucky Department of Veterans Affairs, EKVC was built with a single purpose — to honor and care for those who have served our nation.

We are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Nurse Aide State Registered I to join our team. This is your opportunity to make a meaningful impact every day in the lives of our Veteran residents.

Responsibilities May Include, But Are Not Limited To

• Provide total personal care including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
• Assist residents with meals and proper hydration, including restorative dining.
• Escort residents to medical appointments and activities.
• Record vital signs such as temperature, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure.
• Assist with lifting, repositioning, and transporting residents using assistive equipment.
• Maintain clean and safe living environments and follow infection control protocols.
• Observe and report any changes in resident condition to nursing staff.
• Perform additional care tasks as directed.

This position, in the Eastern Kentucky Veterans Center Nursing Services Department, in Perry County, KY, has an approved Locality Premium of $3.23 in compliance with 101 KAR 2:034 Section 9(1).

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS (AGE, LICENSURE, REGULATION, ETC.): Must possess current registration with the Kentucky Nurse Aide Registry as administered by the Cabinet for Health and Family Services and Kentucky Board of Nursing.
