Happy Thanksgiving

Hello Everyone,

I wanted to take this opportunity to wish each of you a Happy and safe Thanksgiving. I am currently working today but I am reminded of my late Grandmother on this day. When we would gather at her house, prior to eating, she would ask everyone to name one thing they were thankful for. She would also remind us to never let the negative overshadow the positive.

As I have gotten older I have found those to be wise words to live by. So this year I am thankful for my family of course, my husband and son, my parents, brothers, and my entire extended family. I am also thankful for my work family and the fact that I get to do a job that I genuinely enjoy. I am thankful for an administrative team that has given me support at work and as GRAC President.

I am thankful for each member of our GRAC Board and the ideas they continue to generate to make our chapter the best it can be. Last but definitely not least I am thankful for each and every one of you. I am thankful for the generosity you all have shown toward those less fortunate. We were able to gather a grand total of 128 lbs. of food and $85. I am thankful for the support you continue to show to our local chapter each month. You have no idea how happy I am to see each of you each month.

I may not be a fan of public speaking but your warmth and acceptance have been greatly appreciated. I will not hold your attention any longer but enjoy family and friends.
